# EasyUsenet

> Usenet access from the Netherlands, run by XS News B.V. since 2007. Unlimited speed and traffic, over 4,000 days of retention and 100 connections — in every plan, including the cheapest one. An EU company under EU law, with TLS/SSL encryption included and no usage logs.

EasyUsenet is a Usenet provider, not a file host, a VPN or a search engine. Customers buy access to Usenet servers and connect with their own newsreader software. What the plans differ in is **how you pay**, never what you get: speed, traffic, retention and connections are identical across every subscription, prepaid term and block.

- **Connections:** 100 simultaneous, in every plan
- **Retention:** over 4,000 days
- **Speed and traffic:** unlimited and never throttled, in the cheapest plan as much as the most expensive — only the customer's own line sets the limit
- **Server locations:** Europe and the United States
- **Privacy:** an e-mail address is the only personal data required; no usage logs are kept
- **Jurisdiction:** Netherlands, EU law and GDPR — the US CLOUD Act does not reach the company
- **Money-back:** 14 days, no reason needed

## Plans and prices

Prices are in Euro including VAT. A currency switcher offers other currencies; amounts below are the EUR figures.

- **Unlimited, monthly** — 5.98 €/month, cancellable at any time
- **Unlimited, yearly** — 3.98 €/month, billed 47.76 € once a year
- **Prepaid, one month** — 6.98 €, paid once for a single month, never renews automatically
- **Prepaid, one year** — 4.98 €/month, 59.76 € once, never renews automatically
- **3-day trial** — 1.98 €, full access without restriction, continues at 5.98 €/month unless cancelled
- **Blocks** — one payment, no expiry date: 100 GB for 9.95 €, 1,000 GB for 29.95 €, 5,000 GB for 59.95 €

Prepaid costs about one Euro more per month than the subscription because nothing renews on its own. Blocks and prepaid terms never expire and never renew.

## Optional

- **Language versions.** English is at the root. The other languages sit in a folder prefix and carry the same filenames: `/nl/`, `/de/`, `/fr/`, `/es/` — for example `https://www.easyusenet.nl/de/plans.html`. Every page declares its equivalents through hreflang; the root version is the canonical entry point.
- **Account and checkout pages** (`/login.html`, `/member.html`, `/checkout.html` and related) exist but hold no public content. They are excluded from indexing and require a signed-in customer.
- **Terminology.** "Retention" is how long articles stay available on the servers. "Connections" is how many downloads may run in parallel. An "NZB file" is an index of article locations, comparable to a torrent file, and is opened with a newsreader.
