What is a block plan?
You buy a data volume once and use it whenever you want. No subscription, no monthly payment, nothing to cancel – the block is simply there.
Does my volume ever expire?
No. Your credit stays valid indefinitely. Whether you use it in a week or spread it over five years makes no difference.
What happens if my volume runs out mid-download?
The download in progress stops. As soon as you buy more volume you can continue it – your newsreader usually picks the file up again by itself. To stop it happening at all, your remaining credit is visible in your account at any time.
Can I buy more volume later?
At any time. New volume is simply added to your existing credit.
How fast do I download with a block?
At the full speed of your line. Blocks are not throttled and use the same servers as our subscription plans.
Block or subscription – which is cheaper?
If you download regularly, the subscription is considerably cheaper: unlimited volume from €3.98/month. A block pays off if you download rarely or irregularly and want no running costs.
Do I need any extra software?
You need a newsreader – we recommend free tools such as SABnzbd or NZBGet. You will find guides in our help section.
